The BHHS Theatre Boosters are comprised of dedicated parents, educators and community members who collaborate each year in the following capacities:
- Coordinate and execute fundraising initiatives with the funds earmarked for essential resources such as production costs, equipment, expenses related to field trips.
- Secure support from local patrons and advertisers to advance the company’s capabilities. All advertisements help cover the cost of program printing.
- Provide vital physical assistance to ensure success. Meals, fundraisers, student productions all require adult help and supervision. Parents help with meal setup and clean up for long rehearsals and cast parties, provide additional food items, help run concessions, usher, tickets, plan cast parties, chaperone field trips, assist with set building, make up, costumes, take pictures, record productions on video (if option is available), run errands to pick up necessary items. Parent Boosters also help set up the photo board in the Commons Lobby area.
BHHS Theatre Boosters provide assistance to the Theatre students/staff with both financial and practical support.
WHO DOES YOUR CONTRIBUTION HELP?
You: Your commitment of time, expertise, and talents is a rare gift for these students in today’s world. Contributing to making a positive impact will be a rewarding experience, and you’ll also build meaningful relations with others and meet parents in our community as well as get to know the students in the theatre department.
The students: Your participation is invaluable. Our students understand that their accomplishments are greatly enhanced by the support of adults. Some of these young individuals are in need of financial support to attend festivals, field trips or even purchase a show shirt.
The BHHS Theatre Department (The BOSS Theatre Company/Troupe 8055): Your generosity empowers us to produce high-quality performances, train aspiring theatre professionals, and strive for excellence. The costs associated with costumes, sets, makeup, programs, props, posters, lighting, sound systems and playwright fees, royalties and script rentals can be substantial. Your contributions make it possible to acquire essential equipment and supplies while enhancing the educational theatre experience here at Bloomfield Hills High School.

Thank you for considering making a donation to the BHHS Parent Theatre Boosters. Your generosity is an investment in the students involved in all aspects of theatre. We are not a 501c3 organization. This was set up purposefully years before I came to BHHS for a variety of reasons. There are positives and negatives to both. The good news is that we have the Bloomfield Hills Foundation. For anyone needing a receipt for tax purposes, we suggest you make a donation through the foundation.
The Foundation offers DIRECTED GIVING DONATIONS- and you can designate that you would like your donation to go directly to the Theatre Department. PARENT BOOSTER TIME- We completely understand when personal budgets are tough. We need your help in person, too. Can’t donate goods or money? Donate your time. Volunteer to help the students with their fundraisers, work with tickets or concessions or help serve a meal. We are thankful for you!
WHAT IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO AS A THEATRE BOOSTER? SELL TICKETS! POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA! GET FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS WHO DON’T HAVE STUDENTS INVOLVED TO COME. INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT ALL OF THE AWESOME OPPORTUNITIES WE PROVIDE. CREATE SOLD-OUT PERFORMANCES. ONCE WE HAVE PEOPLE AT SHOWS, THEY WILL WANT TO COME BACK.
